I would like to give a gift certificate for a whole house cleaning. Can you tell me how much to spend?

It is very difficult to give you a price via email sight unseen. We base our pricing on many factors, including the number of rooms, size of rooms, pets, clutter, surfaces of countertops and floors and even the lifestyle of the homeowner (i.e., someone who is home a lot has very different cleaning needs than someone who travels a lot). 

If you plan to buy a Happy Homes' gift certificate for a friend or family member, then please consider the following options:

Cleaning Service Fixed Price--you can fix the denomination of the gift certificate at any amount you wish. In such cases, we write the equivalent man-hours (not the fixed-price) on the face of the gift certificate, calculated as the face amount divided by our rate of $30 per man-hour. If we spend less than the fixed price, we can credit you or apply to future service for you or the recipient. Your recipient will need to call us for a house visit before we can clean to get an idea of how long the clean will take (for the client's information, and for our scheduling needs), and make up a room chart for our service team to use while cleaning. If the cleaning the client wants will take longer than the man-hours purchased by the gift certificate, the client will know that ahead of time, and can decide to pay for more cleaning, or decide to scale back his/her task list.

Cleaning Service Whole House--We can visit the home the gift certificate is intended for, and give an exact bid for the cleaning needs, and put the house on the schedule within one to three weeks of the bid. If any more time elapses than 3 weeks, we cannot guarantee the service bid, and will have to visit the house once again to determine the time needed for the cleaning needs. An average first time clean on a 2500 square foot home with 2.5 baths is $300-$450, depending on build up and other factors.
